The Blaine Alexander Memorial Scholarship was created to honor a young man who lost his life too soon in a workplace accident. Blaine was the epitome of hard work and kindness. He was a leader in all he did and a light to those around him. It is the wish of his family to highlight his kindness by providing a scholarship to a deserving high school student. The Blaine Alexander Scholarship has been made likely by donations of numerous friends, family and employees at Livingston Machinery Company who knew Blaine and his family and share the desire to keep his name remembered by the community.
The Blaine Alexander Memorial Scholarship will award three students each a $1,000 scholarship and will be given in two payments of $500; the first upon verification of enrollment of the Fall semester and the second upon verification of continued enrollment of the Spring semester.
Applications are open to Seniors who are:
- Students in the following Oklahoma counties; Grady, Stephens, Cotton, Jefferson, Comanche, Washita, Kiowa, Caddo, Tillman, Jackson, Garvin.
- Current Livingston Machinery Company employee family members
- *One scholarship will be awarded to a student at Sterling High School in memory of Blaine Alexander’s attendance, while the second recipient will be chosen from the remaining applicants. If no applications are received from Sterling High School, both scholarships will be awarded to applicants who apply from the eligible counties or LMC employee family member
